Default Anyone have recommendations where to get number for DE days

Hi,

I will be doing my first DE day shortly and as part of pre inspection need to have a car number attached to both doors/windows.
What do folks usually use?
Thank you

If this is for HOD, you can get numbers at the track for a couple bucks.

First one - Use blue painters tape and don't worry about it. I'm on 11th DE and still works.

If you get hooked - Go buy something more fancy. I wouldn't know where. I use blue painters tape

Have fun!

Good point. If you're car happens to blue, frog tape makes painter's tape in a variety of contrasting colors. You can get it at home depot.

which outfit are doing this with? if it is hooked on driving they provide numbers in the early morning prep meeting

not sure about others like nasa or trackmasters

in general if you want to buy stick-on numbers they are readily available on ebay cheaply - just search 'race numbers' in ebay motors...then there are other online shops that are happy to charge u alot more

A lot of people use a white shoe polish stick and paint the numbers in the rear side windows,it washes off easily afterwards ... or a glass marker does a nice job as well !

Cheers

Thanks guys.
Will be doing one HOD and then one DE day with Sacramento PCA region, both at Thunderhill as I live nearby.
Painters tape it is if they don't provide, I have plenty of that.

HOD will provide. White shoe polish can make a mess. They used it once on my car and it was a stinker to get off.
Have fun - you're going to have a new hobby.... Oh, and get yourself ready early in the day before. Chill out that night, get a good rest, and REALLY hydrate. It's a lot like a sporting event for the driver.
