Default Another wheel question

Does anyone have a definitive answer on this oft asked question:

Can Euromeister Fuch replicas sized 17x8 (front) 17x9 (rear) fit a non modified 1987 911? Actually I am certain the rear fitment would be fine, my concern is with the front fitment. If the 17x8 cannot fit in the front would 17x7 and 17x9 combo look strange?

17x7 and 17x9 should look great. I don't think you'll be able to fit a 17x8 on the front. I was looking at doing that with my wide body and it was going to be a stretch doing it without making modifications. The issue is that the EM 8" wheels are not designed to be run up front. Especially on a narrow body. Here's a picture of them on a widebody car.

The 8's won't fit up front. I had 7's with 225's and they rubbed, would have needed a 205. The 9's and 7's looked good together.

Go with 16's though! 17's are too big for these cars.

Thanks for the info, so I guess it's the 17x7, 17x9 combo

I have 16" Euromeister rims on my Carrera (7x16 front and 8x16 rear) to replace the 17" turbo twist wheels that came with the car when I purchased it. At the time, I contemplated getting the 17" Euromeister. I am glad I didn't. The car just look "right" with the 16", and the ride was improved as well.
I think 9x16 for the rear wheels would look great!

I originally planned on doing the 16's but good rubber is getting hard to come by, 17's provide a lot of selection.

Agree 100%. I'm putting 17x9 and 17x11 on my car. If I went with 16" wheels, I'd have to run cheaters or spend some serious $$ on street tires. Some don't like 17" wheels on these cars. I was in the camp at one time. Now I like them. Tell me this looks bad...

Fit depends on the width and o/s
in front 8ET25-31 fits, the lower the ET the more =room inside and the higher the ET the more room at the lip
in back 9ET11-15 fits same caveats for the ET

tires in front 225/45 x17
tires in back 255/40 x17

bigger tires can be fitted but it's a juggling act w/ tire OD, tire width and wheel specs.

Euro 16" are on back order everywhere. I'm on a waiting list for a set. Ecd is mid April. Ordered before Xmas.
