Default Anyone running 17x7/17x8 wheels with 225/245 tires?

I'm helping a friend with his 85 Carrera project and was hoping to get some input from you guys on wheels.

He has a line on a set of those Magnus Walker wheels that look a bit like Fuchs. The front wheels are 17x7 with an ET of 10 and the rears are 17x8 with an ET of 23. He is wondering if anyone is running similar wheels sizes/offsets with a 225/45 tire in front and a 245 or 255/40 tire in the rear. I've done a search and it seems like a 225 may rub in the front. Car is on Koni Yellows and adjustable torsion bars so he could dial in a bit of negative camber if need be. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

A 225/45/17 front tire is pretty much standard for the folks running 17 inch wheels on a 911,although most use 17x8 front wheels and 17x9 rears with 255/40/17's ... if he could gain -1.5 front camber it would definitely help the rubbing issues but it also depends on how low he set his car.

I'm sure many people will chime in,but your friend should be good to go !

Cheers
Phil

Default et

Sounds like the ET mentioned is backwards normally the et 23 would be up front and the et 10 would be in the rear.

225's should work OK in front, but you may need to address fender lips. Some have issues, some don't. The cars vary a bit.
