Default G50 Clutch to Flywheel

Hey guys,

Does anyone have an overhead pic of the clutch bolted to the flywheel. I am set to re-attach gearbox to engine, but I am a bit worried that the clutch is not bolted properly. The torque is correct, but there is a gap between the pressure plate and the flywheel and there also appears to be excessive thread on the bolts. Anyone have a pic or experience with this. I've come this far and don't want to f it up now. Thanks

.

Are those new bolts ?
Did you check with an old one to see if the results are different, did you install the clutch disc facing the right direction !

Cheers

Something looks screwy to me, but I may be wrong. I don't think the starter gear mounts to the PP? Shouldn't it be on the flywheel?

Thanks for comments. Yes, new bolts and pulled old ones out of waste bin and checked depth & thread wear. Double checked everything including pp direction, torques etc. Everything checks out. There is an inside flange on the pp that is tight to the clutch plate so I'm thinking it is sitting properly. Wishing I had taken more pics during disassembly and hung on to the old pp and rubber clutch. Lesson learned. Muscle (nephews) on the way over so I'm going for it. Happy New Year.

Go to the Lindsey Racing tech website, they have a step by step picture of the clutch disc, throwout bearing and pressure plate installation ... i know it's 944 related but it's the same thing as the 911

Here's a few pics i dug out from my 3.6 install,it shows the clutch installation at different intervals, hope it helps !
It's the same as for a 3.2 ...

The ring gear is not yet installed in the picture,it has to be installed with the step facing the right way !

Cheers
Phil

Thanks for additional references. I think I am good. Just to correct my last comment above, the inside flange is tight to the flywheel and the clutch plate and pp are tight all the way around. I added some pics for future ref. Paul

LG G3 phone Ice. Takes pretty good pics. Happy New Year. Enjoy that game yesterday? Nephews and brother in law made easy work reattaching gearbox to engine. Had to do it twice because I dropped that little black plastic cross shaft cap into the bellhousing the first time (rookie move). Finished right at 4 as planned.
