Yeal, Lol.
Downtown Vicenza in '76 off of the town square.....that was a short haircut in the 70's.
There were no speed limits on the Autostrada then.
I got pulled over by a Carabienari (Cop) going to PT one morning at 0530 driving thru town at about 90 mph. He just wanted to look at the car.

Actually he did give me a ticket....they write them and you pay on the spot.
I didn't have any real money (was going to morning pt) so he asked me what I had ... I had 1 Mille Lira 500 ( then about 2 bucks) so he wrote me a ticket for 2 bucks.
Man, that was the best 3 years ever.
Single, an apartment off post and a Maserati......pinch me I think I'm dreaming.

Don't miss the first Porsche, a 1966 912 but I do miss the second, a '72 "T" both have been long gone. Enjoy the newer cars, but have learned a lesson and our '83 SC" will stay and provides smiles continually.

Absolutely nothing a nice car that we put many miles on .The one mistake was I put air in it for the family and we could either climb a steep grade or run the air.

I almost bought another last year but my wife reminded me we have enough.... exception would be if I found a good "S" from '69-71. Remember you only live once

long hoods are so expensive now, they are definitely out of my price range.

Sheesh! I get ill every time I think about it. Here's my list....all 100% original or restored except the 914

67 Corvette 427 Coupe
63 356 S90
68 912
55 Speedster
60 Roadster
63 356 S
69 912
65 356 SC
73 914 2.7 6
83 SC
86 930 (US legal, not grey market)

...but not quite as ill as the guy I know who traded (traded!!) his 55 Spyder for a 80 special addition 911 and a track car.

I am left with a 72 MFI 2.7
