It's the last house on Lynn Court off Lynn Ave in Hampton Bays.....Beachfront to Shinnecock Bay. I was thinking Southampton, but that looks to be a bit north. Still a place I could not afford.
I know the area, actually much less expensive than beachfront in Southampton, but still out of reach to most!

Default would you pay?

Would you pay $39,000 (asking price) for a 1984 3.2 with 62,000 miles in good condition and strong working order? Owner turned down an offer of $31,000.

I took a look on Pelican for 84-89 Carrera Coupe's for sale and pickings are slim.

$36K

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...low-miles.html

$46K

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...72k-miles.html

$44K

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...w-sticker.html

$26K - sold in one day

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...816-miles.html

$35K

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...e-atlanta.html

I think I may need to increase the value of my SC with Haggerty.

For $40K, I would rather get a late model Cayman.

Must be the slim pickings during the winter. 3.2s were selling in the high 20s this summer. Also the one I posted is in Sarasota and the nice black one was in Boca Raton. Both places are known to have lots of pensioners with more money than good sense... they overpay for everything.

I've also noticed dealers have their hands on most of the 911s for sale now (or so it seems to me).

That is the problem, the flippers picked them up for the low 20's since they have cash on hand and then resell for a nice profit.

The export of about 100 911's from CA each month to Europe is driving up the prices too.

No!! I paid $17k for mine ta few years ago w/ 76k on the clock. It already included the upgraded suspension, cat bypass and was in overall very good condition. I would say today I can get an easy mid $20s w/ just under 80k on the clock now. I think that red coupe should be right around $30k.

Not good to see all these Carreras ending up in a few hands. Glad I bought both of mine a long time ago...

Very true, looks like I bought just before they took off! When I bought mine in summer '11 for $17k, it was in same great condition, had 76k on the clock, suspension upgrades, new tires and cat bypass. According to what I am seeing, it should be easily worth over $30k. Looks like a stole it in comparison to today!

77 with a crappy repaint and 170KM asking $20K sold on Pelican

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...coupe-b-c.html

9 years ago I turned down a mint 77 Oak Green 911 Coupe with 45,000 miles on it for $12K. I thought the seller was asking too much since it still had the Thermal Reactors and it was leaking oil like the Valdez even though it had a top end rebuild to replace the pulled head studs.

Default $52,000 for an SC?

non-turbo with 37,000 miles and the owner thinks it is worth $52,500. Probably restored it and wants his money back. Anyone out there insane enough to pay that price? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-SC-/331416708724
