Default Plug wire help

So I keep my '87 3.2 cab at my dads house. It sat for a few weeks w/o being driven and when started was missing. This has happened before once and it cleared up upon driving. That may be a different question? Anyway, may dad being an old Porsche guy started messing with plug wires. Now he cannot remember which wire went where. Is there a diagram showing the distributor to plug instructions?

Thanks!

I am sure there is. But the firing order is on a sticker on the car.
Understanding that the rotor goes clockwise start at one and go around the distributor and see if it follows the firing order.

Cylinder 1 is on the left closest to you when standing at the bacl of the car and counts forward. Number 4 is on the right side closest to you and counts forward

Or just check some images on the Internet

If it sat outside it was likely a wet distributor cap..

Linked from a VW/air cooled type site that I'm assuming was British.

(Don't worry, none of us remember the "Rotational Incident".)
