September Northeast Foliage run UPDATE Hotels
Date: September 27 2003
Location: 55 Prospect St. West Newbury, MA 01985
Well guys we've got another run. Host is Mark Skala in West Newbury MA (Up on the NH border near the coast). Gathering should start about 10:20 to 11:00 for a little wandering, admiring and talking. Food for gnoshing as well.
It's going to be a long drive so we'll head out early, a run up the coast, then head West and North. We'll do a stop in Concord, maybe some Ice cream and such. And then the final run up to the Kancamangus, some of the best scenery in the US.

For those coming please post in here so we have an idea of attendance.
If anyone wants to know about hotels and the like for those coming in from farther away or you have any other questions please e-mail me at etrent@sidv.org

Well one of our New Jersey residents has asked about hotels in the area so here is a collection.
About 6 miles from the gathering site, and a nice town.

Also in Salisbury (another nice town), there is Striper's Inn just off US Rt. 1, 978-463-3343
Another possibility, a bit further away but a nice town.

Hi,
I've never been on a fun run. I thnk it would be interesting to see so many 911's on the road. How many drivers participated last yeat and how many are you expecting this year?
Shoot me a reply if you can. I might be working that day if it is a Saturday. A nice Sunday drive through the mountains would be nice though.

It is a Saturday, sorry, hope you can still make it.
This is our first foliage run (that I know of) but I definitely want to make it a yearly event.
Last year we did a run from Amherst To Portsmouth as part of a toys for tots events. About 40 cars showed up in Amherst and 20 or so went on the Run to Portsmouth. It was loads of fun, we all had a great time.
