Where can I get the wiring diagram for 1974 911?
Is the wiring diagram in the tech books?? Sorry this is long, but I thought all of you might be able to help.
I want to find another diode in the wiring. Here is my problem, my door buzzer stays on. I have isolated the switches at each door, and they are not shorting to ground. I removed the diode from the circuit that connects the door switches and the interior lights to the buzzer. I then tested the door switches and the light and everything is fine, just that with the diode in the buzzer never stops and the lights stay on. I believe the diode to be bad, but I don't want to just spend $25 for a new one to find out it is not bad. I used a meter to test it, and the current only flows one way (Like a diode should), but the other side is not fully passing the current. The multimeter bounces anywhere from 1.100 to .506. Is this right? Is there another one of the same diodes in the car elsewhere? The part num is 911.617.108.00. Sorry this is long, but I thought all of you might be able to help.

Available through Porsche dealers and some independant parts dealers. Some dealers discount upwards of 25% so it pays to shop around. Note the factory doesn't like to repeat things, so if you really want the complete set, you need to buy vols 1-2 66-72 in addition to vols 4-6 73-83. As I recall, typically around $175 per set.

Eric I have a diagram which includes the door buzzer(USA only) in it for a '72. it's in pdf format and needs to be greatly magnified so I'll try and work out how to cut the relevant section and maybe email it if you think it's worth a try, let me know

Eric,
You may want to take a look at the wiring diagrams that are online at Pelican.
The several different diagrams show numerous paths/routings for the buzzers, diodes and contacts that might be helpful.
Good luck,
Tim
