I am more concerned about that toothpick on the desk than the wheel. What year is that from?

It could be from a 911, 944 or 928. Look near the splines and you will see an engineering number. If it is from a 911 the series of numbers will start with 911. By the way, the splines are different for the different applications.

If I have written in error then someone correct me.

supercat,
Does the wheel have an extension piece, I can't tell. If so remove the extension piece. It would be about 1.5 inches wide.

If not, then remove the rubberized horn cover, there will be numbers and year made. Somewhere on the hub is numbers.

The 911 wheels vary in price. I sold my last one for an '86 911 with extension for $300.00, but that was a year ago. Currently I have no clue.
If it is for a 944 or 928 the values dip just a tad.
