930's are on the rise, especially the early ones. I can't imagine that being a MW car means anything as far as value goes.

Oh I def thinks the name will bring some cash. A full rebuild helps its price, but as it stands now at $115k, I think it's all in a name.

That poor car makes mine look fantastic. Is it not clear what is going on? Are buyers blind? Like 20/400 blind?

That, and it's time to up my stated value insurance...

The car has obviously had a thorough going-over and spared no expense in the rebuilds and parts replaced. Magnus's name/reputation is on the line, he's not going to sell a lemon.

Is it worth 115? It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it... so time will tell. But a full engine and tranny rebuild, along with all the other work gone into it..... I'd say that's 30k right there. Add that to the 50k purchase price of a decent 930 and you're already at 80.

I have stopped being surprised by air cooled 911 prices. At this point it's just the simple theory of supply and demand. If you could find 930's like this one for 30K...this one would not be up to 115K. The problem is they are not really around anymore at that price point. I have a few customers that race, buy and sell vintage Porsche's in the 1M+ range. It's nuts how much they are buying and selling cars for. I don't think anybody really saw this one coming. Imagine the money that we be lost if THIS market went limp.

Name of the owner/restorer/rebuilder/reseller has always influenced the price of classic cars, sure you can find a cheaper one done by billy bob in his garage it might even be the same quality but the invoice/title will always say billy bob & not Magnus Walker or Steve McQueen .... surprised some guys are actually surprised by this.
