89 Targa Value - Japanese Import
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post, but I've been lurking around here for a while. I'm looking at buying a Carrera 3.2, Coupe or Targa, and have a question about values. I'm in Canada, and have come across a low KM 89 Targa that's a LHD Japanese import. It's already in Canada and has been registered here by the previous owner. I'm wondering if the fact that it's a Japanese import reduces the value (I'm thinking yes), and by what amount or percent?
Can Japanese imports that are registered in Canada be imported into the US in the same was as a regular Canadian car?
I'm also wondering if their are any major differences between North American 3.2s, and Japanese market 3.2s?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks

So the vin starts with WPOZZZ? Are you sure it's originally from Japan? Japan cars are RHD. The white sticker under the front hood should have a country code like C00 for Germany, C02 USA... Does it have a cat?

I have a Japanese ROW car as well - 88 3.2. Exact same as NA spec, sadly not like a Euro. I don't think they're necessarily worth less than a Canada/US car - a 911 is a 911. The car's been great for me so far!
