1988 911 25TH ANNIVERSARY MEDALLION
I AM LOOKING FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY / 250,000 911 BUILT MEDALLION. DOES ANYONE HAVE ONE TO SELL OR KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE?

The 1988 Commemorative Edition is not an anniversary of any kind, not a 25th anniversary, not a silver anniversary. It was built to commemorate ONE THING ONLY - the 250,000th 911 built, which occurred in August, 1987. The word anniversary doesn't belong anywhere near this car.
The 25th Anniversary car is a different car, a 1989 model, and marks the 25th anniversary of the 911 production.
If you're asking about the round MY88 badge that came with the 1988 Commemorative Edition 911, you may be able to find one on ebay if you're lucky. But don't hold your breath. They are as rare as hen's teeth. The one that is affixed to my glove box door is the only one I've ever seen in person.

Technically speaking, the '89 isn't really a "silver anniversary" edition by name. It is a "Special Edition" car that has the "Silver Anniversary Package" (as noted on the window sticker). Truly, the LAST of the 911 series.
I would love to get my hands on the 25th anniversary badge, as my girl didn't have one.
Best!

This is a timely subject. I just (like this last weekend) purchased an '89 25th Anniversary car. Silver coupe out of NJ. Has 122,00 miles and I am third (we believe) owner.
I had been looking for the right G-50 car for quite awhile and when this came along I knew it was the car. Price mostly right, and 1 of 240 makes it pretty special in my mind.
Car was photographed for the eBay ad reasonably well, and presented reasonably well, but nothing about the special edition badge. PPI was a go so I closed the deal.
When I got to NJ to pick it up there was a box of "stuff" that came with the car. Things like OE steering wheel, OE stereo, car cover etc. Digging through the box I found a small plastic bag that had the special edition plaque in it, still inside the faux leather bag from the dealership. I got wood right then...
Is there any particular "protocol" for the placement of this plaque? I have seen them placed in the center of glovebox, on the left low side and on the right high side of glovebox in pictures. I assume this was a buyer installed plaque?
The car really does present nicely, and since I drove it like 1,100 miles home from Jersey I got to know it pretty quickly.
I think I like it better than my 993 which is a problem....

Hi Chaps, I own a '89 25th Anniversary 911 and have been on the look out for the anniversary plaque which unfortunately a previous owner seems to have retained. Any idea where I can source one of these from?
