Anyone done a 73 RS conversion on a 74 or later body?

Hi,
I'm looking into doing this to my 74 as it has the RS spec engine and, what can I say, the 73 look is much sweeter
Are there any sites with this information? Besides the obvious hood, fenders and bumpers what else do I need to change and have done?
Thanks
Lefty

Lefty, a few people have done that over on the Pelican Parts BBS. Do a search there on backdating to the early car look. Good luck with this.
Oh, one more comment...I know you've got a 74 to do this mod to. Well, you might want to think about backdating a 76 or newer body (find a roller) so you can benefit from their galvanized bodies. Then you can sell your 74 tub or part it out. Just a thought.

Read last month's 911 and Porsche World. It does not go into heavy detail on the little changes, but it basically shows an impact bumper car that was converted to 73RS. The car was a G50 Carrera. Autofarm is doing them. If doing the job, I do recommend you remove the rear impact bumper brackets so that you can mount the RS rear bumper the right way on the frame. Though I don't know if the people that are doing it are being that particular. I have been wanting to do this for years now but have not bitten the bullet yet.
