I'm posting this for my father as he can't seem to get his wheels off.
He has a 1980 911 Super Carrera II (I think) and took the wheel lugs off but they seem to have an inner lock or something. He can't seem to find the tool anywhere in the car or online to take them off and was hoping for some help.
He said it needs a 4 prong something.....
I have no idea what he is talking about so if anyone could help me with what he needs to buy I would appreciate it.
He tried his local tire/wheel place and they looked at him funny when they took off the wheel lug also so beats me.

Sounds like the (seemingly) universal two-piece wheel lock of the '80s. Anyone have an old Automotion or Performance Products catalog laying around???? (I did find what appears to be an updated version of the things here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/221401164848?lpid=82)
Pain in the *** to get off when I had my shop going. Just had to chisel or hole saw them off, and I told customers I'd use my best effort not to damage a wheel but no guarantees.

I had one break on me. Used a 1/2" hole saw made for metal. Use it without the drill bit in the center and go slow. Not a mark on the lug and not a scratch on the wheel. You would never know. Once the bulk of the lock is out of the way what little is left on the threads will back right out.
