Default seat rail buffers?

On the seat rail at the end is a hard rubbery plastic kind of piece.
It's broken into pieces and perrished and now the seat moves back and forth about a 16th of an inch. is there a fix for that? or a replacement part?

Is there a walkthrough as to how to fix and restore the seat rails of an electric seat?
it's an 1988 911 and I an surprised about the fact that there is no one with that happeneing here?

Are your seats original or aftermarket? Your description does not match with what I've seen. Also, pictures would help.
