Great project.

Aubergine is an awesome color. If it's original, it should be on the build plate. I'd repaint it in a heartbeat.

Yeah, the seats suck. Period Recaro Sports are so expensive now, I'm not sure they are a viable option, but for the cost of restoring the originals, repros from GTS, for example, will really set the car off and shouldn't hurt it's value.

Sounds like you have a good plan... build the car to keep... these old 911s are just a joy to drive... I can't think of a nicer driver/collectable.

I just came across a local to me believed to be an Aubergine 1972T that is now painted white, RS replica.

With everybody buying 65-73 models nowadays I might as well jump in...
