Default 4 door 911

I've heard about this car for years, but has anyone actually seen it?

Looks like a Texas plate.

I think it is in the museum.

This car was written up in Road and Track back in the day. If it is, in fact, the same car, it is legit.

What you actually think is up to you.

At one time, it resided here in San Antonio. That's all I know.

Different car.

The museum car is a Porsche project that has an extended wheelbase and is still a two-door.

The car pictured is a conversion done by Troutman-Barnes for a customer at the time. It has since been repainted.

It was written up in Excellence a few years ago - issue #180. The article has, IMO, the cleverest headline out of any article in the magazine to date .

Take care,

Yeah I think the Troutman 911 was sort of brown color. I also think there were two 4 door 911s made. The Troutman car was IMO better.
