Default Question - color codes 1972S

Hello everyone,
I am slowly going through my (new to me) 1972 S. Trying to sort out paint, and I will repaint back to original...The metal plate on the forward driver side (down a-pillar) says "made in western Germany"...,"kunstharzlack" followed with paint code: "936-9-3"

(I am NOT on Pelican, or early 911Registry...) So question for the RL experts: my car is definitely a 1972, but according to the color charts 936 is a Silver Metallic for the 1973. However, when I Googled it there are other folks with 1972 911S and T with a 936 color code...

Any insight please?
TIA...

Default Color reference from CPR Classic

http://cprclassic.com/reference/colorcharts/911.html

Here is the list I always refer to, it says ....

Silver Met: 1972 code 925, 1973 code 936

^thank you very much...I have seen that...but when I Google the topic I see other folks with 1972 pcars with a 936 color code and some of these (Internet) folks claim that charts were changed for late 1972 ...--> thus the dilemma.

Let's see what pops up here....

(ps: I have seen pix of your blue pcar....she is a beauty! )

It would be interesting to know if there is any difference in 925 Vs 936. The 3 also signifies the paint manufacturer. You may want to order a COA from PCNA.

I can add that page 48 of the 'Porsche 911 Red Book' (from Google Books preview), shows the G-Series also used 936 as a special order Silver Metallic... I guess that's moving the wrong way, but still, atleast the code was common on many year cars (doesn't make sens to keep changing the code does it?).

Thanks Conza...I could not open page 48. But I ordered the book.
I have learned that 936 was a special order code in 1972 and there are other cars in this color; also known as VW Silver?
I am planning on repaint to original color.
