Default Barn Find Worth Saving?

So I found a 79 Euro SC in poor shape. The motor was rebuilt and installed where it sits a few years ago. They got it running, but it was having a hard time idling. Sadly, they ran out of money and it was left where it sits to this day.

What would you do with it if you were me?

Are you kidding? You get it and you fix it! These cars need to be saved.

Give it some TLC... if you do not have the $ to fix it, put it away safely until you can, so it does not continue to deteriorate....

if you dont have the money, take it apart, clean/fix it up and asses what needs to be done.. that alone should keep you busy for awhile. Figure out how much it will costs to a nice condition and double it... then decide if you want to keep it or sell, since you've cleaned it up some and fixed what you can, it should be worth a bit more than you paid. But, if your going through the trouble anyway... I would just go for it.

It looks like it will need a lot of cleaning and that's about it. Re wrap the dashboard, find used parts for the interior and exterior and get her running. Get some Porsche buddies that are good with CIS to help you and you'll have a nice car to drive around.

That car is going to take a lot of money to bring back. If you can steal it for very low money, and find a parts car, you can do it reasonable. The other option is a backdated hot rod-maybe the best option.

For a car left outside, I have to say that paint looks pretty good, possibly thanks to the shade from the trees? Pity about the rear window, did the rubbers deteriorate?

The eyes look horrible, wonder why they don't match the body color? All depends on price > (potential value - necessary costs).

I'll give you $2,000 for the running gear and wheels.

I would bet that aint original paint. Rear window is probably a part of that saga.

Looks like someone started to restore it and had it painted. If the asking price is $5K or less and it has a title, I say grab it unless it has massive rust that we can't see in the photos.
