Well, I'm in Rancho Cucamonga so Irvine is a bit of a stretch.
It's always just been a "weekends away" car for the two of us either up the coast or down the coast with a trip to Salt Lake thrown in for good measure. If this trip goes well we may plan a week long trip up to San Francisco, Sonoma, and beyond.

I am happy to report that we are home safe and sound after 828 miles of flawless driving up Hwy 101 and Hwy 1 from Southern California to the Monterrey Peninsula and back.
This machine is beyond phe·nom·e·nal
THIS is what they are supposed to feel like. She felt glued to the ground. Engine was stronger than ever. Even with our bags where the back seats used to be she accelerates harder than ever.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think she'd turn out this nice.
Didn't put the top down, but we never put the windows up either. Actually drove all day Saturday with the back window unzipped. How cool is that.
Perfect weather the entire time. Must have been low 70's and sunny. Morrow Bay, Hwy 1 from Cambria through Big Sur to Monterrey (first time in my life to do 17 mile drive), San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara.

What, no duck?
You have no idea how many hours Elayne talked about that car this weekend. She just can't fathom that you would give my that car for free.
.........Wait, that doesn't look like a stacker. New trailer???

Duck's destined for the '73. Where it's most appropriate, right? (You get the original decklid.)
Here's one of the transfer between trailers. Managed all this solo, with some winch help. Yes, I'm sore. (There was also a mount/balance of a set of tires for the truck--with a manual changer--to further kill me before I embark on this trip.)

That thing is brand new as in brand freakin' new. Not even footprints on the ramp yet. ....and is that another 911 peaking out over in the corner?

The carcass of the wrecked RSA? Funny thing is that after 10 years of neglect (and almost two attempts to send it to the crusher) it's probably worth fixing in today's market. ~44K original on a clean title!
