Default 3.6 Vram into a 911 '83

Did a search and was not able ti find anything.

I am installing a 3.6 variorum into a 1983 911.

Besides all the wiring and such, I am being told that I have two options:

a) lower the engine a bit, that should then lower the cg.
b) modify the sheet metal and form a "box" as shown in the picture below.

Any comments on what is best?

Go look on "Instant G's " website as well as Patrick Motorsports, they would be your two sources of parts and information for a 3.6 transplant !

Cheers

That about sums it up, the 964 engines have a taller stack height than the 993 engines and the non vram 993 is the shortest of the 993s
