I would like to get the Yokohamos AVS db s2 but they only come in 225/60. Porsche calls for 215/60 for the rear 15 inch Fuchs. The Yokos comes in the 195/65 for the front so the only dviation would be a slightly taller and slightly wider rear tire. Any problems with do ing this. Are the AVS worth going to or should I just suck it up and get the P6000 which are in the right sizes for the 15 inch Fuchs?

Doug,
I ran 225's on my 15" Fuchs when I had my 74 911. Did not have any problems with rubbing or any other bad phenomenom. You can do the AVS route, but I also ran 225/50-15 S-03's on the back with no problem. Of course, I managed my speed through my tachometer, so I never paid attention to the speedo. I never tried to calculate the difference when running with the 255/50-15's, but I felt like the speedo was not quite accurate.

Hi Doug:
We've done a number of cars like yours and the 225/60's are too tall,..IMHO. They really raise the gearing and those tall sidewalls flex a good deal.
My suggestion would be Yoko's ES100's in 205/55-15 and 225/50-15. This is a better setup and will not give you rubbing problems.

Doug,
I would echo Steve's comments. I am currently running the discontinued AVS Intermediates, 205/55/15 front and 225/50/15 rears without any problems. The only regret I have is that they quit making this tire.
