Hey all. Regarding my daily driver '87 911 -- if it sits for a few days unused in the garage (with the windows up), I notice a slight smell of fuel in the cabin when I get in.
I'm wondering where the typical culprits are?
A while ago I fixed a weeping return tube in the LF wheel well, which produced fuel smells on fill-up. I also replaced the fuel line from the fuel filter to the fuel rails.
How about the fuel lines that run through the center tunnel? Any previous experience that could save me valuable time would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I had a similar problem with my '87 and it turned out to be the pump. The "o" ring seal had failed enough to allow some fuel sweating but not enough to create a visible puddle on the floor.
You might want to feel around on the top of the crossmember (below the tank) for a wet spot.

FYI: A tip from a RennList member pointed me to a similar reference on Pelican Part's website:

Guess I'll give this a try and see what happens.
