Default I should change my username to dumbass...

I have another strange question....

my 2.4L 911E motor was rebuilt ~15000km ago.
I had a pretty hefty oil leak which was a faulty oil pressure switch.
I replaced the switch and all was fine.

now...
it's been 2 weeks since I've driven the car.
I pull it out of the garage last night to get the lawn tractor out and there's a puddle of oil on the ground the size of a dinner plate.
there are no drips on the ground from when the car is running.....
but from sitting for 2 weeks... does anyone else find it strange for that much oil to drop out?
I realize that these cars drip a reasonable amount of oil.... but this seems excessive.

I haven't had time to put it on the hoist and see where it's coming from, so I don't expect a diagnosis... just feedback on similar experiences.

thanks!

No, don't change your user name.

I will tell you my experience first. I have a 1977 911 (euro spec) with the infamous 2.7 ltr. engine. It sits for 2 or 3 weeks at lot. I get two or three oil spots; I would estimate each oil spot is about a tablespoon of oil at the most.

So if you use my car as a baseline, your "dinner plate' oil leak sounds a little excessive. I would do a little investigating.
