Question tire size for 15" wheels

Hello all, just a quick question on tire sizes for my 1985 Carerra. I've got a set of 15 (fifteen) inch BBS wheels- the fronts are 7x15 and rears are 8x15. All wheels have 4 & 7/8" backspacing. The car is slightly lowered. What would the best tire sizes for front and rear be?? I was thinking about 205/50-15 front and 225/50-15 rear OR 225/50-15 front and 245/50-15 rear.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Morning,
You might have a clearance problem fitting 225 tires to the front of the car (try before paying). I believe the 205/50 to be the best choice, it also sits 'better' on a 7J rim, i.e. the tirewall remains square and provides good lateral support. For the rear the 245 is nice, I have however never seen a 245 in 15"? I run a 245/45 16" and a 245 will fit nicely inside your fender. The 225/50 is also fine, and will balance the 205 fronts perfectly.
REMEMBER THAT GOOD QUALITY TIRES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE ACTUAL WIDTH!
Regards Tom.
