I am taking the a/c out of my 83. It was added (not stock) and didn't blow air that was even a bit cold. Plus it's a cabriolet so who needs a/c, especially is San Diego

I assume the line going from the driver's side of the condenser goes to the compressor, right? Any suggestions on getting it out?

I cut mine near the firewall, and pulled from the other end to not have to fish any more than I had to through holes.

Ed has good advice. If you aren't putting the lines back in, cut them where needed to remove them. If you get it all out you will loose 80+lbs....

Cheers

I got the lines out of the firewall. Now I have to track them to the front. Do they end up in the smugglers box?

Your evap is there, but the big lines are going to the dryer in the LH fender, and to the front condenser.

You will also find many little brackets holding the hoses to the tub, all held on with sheet metal screws. I tried putting the screws back to fill in the holes, then realized I didn't want them vibrating out when I'm on the track, so I removed them all and filled the holes with quick setting JB Weld. Some people use silicone adhesive,

All pre-964 911s were "A/C delete".

My suggestion on getting it out is to do it ASAP...
