1977 911S with mods. Is it reasonable?
A friend of a friend in the East Coast wants to sell me this. I know nothing about mods, except that I know I want an inexpensive car to have fun on the track that doesn't break me. Asking price is $11.5k. Is this reasonable? I have never seen the car and thinking about buying it sight unseen. Also, I am in CA -- what is the smog requirement for this car if any? What does it tak to pass a smog test if needed?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Jump on it quick....very quick.
May want to question the condition of the head studs on the 2.7 and research what smog equipment is missing. Guessing you will need to replace the exhaust too. Still a screaming deal.

Looks like a neat car!!
'77 CA cars must pass inspection & testing. Those cars had thermal reactors & air pumps so if that's missing, you'll not pass smog until everything is in place.

+1 I'm on the East Coast. I would fly in buy that car and drive it home. Live in SC too so no smog to worry about. Pass on his info to those interested if you decide to pass. Good Luck!
