New color for my targa
I am painting my 88 wide body targa. Its getting a color change so I can do whatever I like. Yes I realize changing the color might impact the value..I am keeping it forever so only my son will care. This will be a top notch job - windows out etc. I have narrowed the colors to silver, gray and black. Any opinions on a great color?
The first two cars listed is Steve McQueen's 930 in slate gray. I love the first picture but not sure if I like the second (this color looks radically different depending on the light). This is obviously the non-metallic slate.
The third car is metallic black from 79 (paint code 708). I'm told this is very similar to metallic slate?
The the fourth car is a singer color of silver. Hard to replicate since this is an internally mixed color but I love it. I also like GT Silver from the modern era which is an option.
The fifth car is straight up black.
Thoughts? Better ideas? Help a brother out?

I've always liked darker colors on widebody cars. Their flares tend to bend the light in a way that accentuates their curves.
However, the one exception I have to this rule is the color of Petrol Blue on widebody cars.
The slate grey is interesting. If you watch the opening scenes of LeMans, McQueen's 911S is pictured in slate grey and it looks much darker so I think the color perception is light dependent.

I like the grey; the reflections from the green grass in the 2nd picture may influence the rendering.
I have a paint job on my -87 Carrera that is marinally better than what I could have done myself with a roller... What do you expect to budget for a real paint job (windows out, stripping of old color etc)?

I thought it was a mix between Man of Chile and something else, hard to tell. Ether way both colors are amazing.
