Hey there,
been a member for several years and had a 964 for about four years and have been without an air cooled Porsche for the past four years now.
Just bought an '84 3.2 on a whim last weekend from a dealer I've worked with in the past on 3 or 4 cars. I really wanted an 80's car and he had what I wanted (color, condition, price).
Because of having the 964 and the price on the 3.2 I did not feel it totally necessary to drive a bunch of cars to see what I liked/disliked.
My question is this; my car seems to ride really harsh...at least in my opinion. I took it to the local air cooled specialist and he put it on the lift and said the bushings and shocks look fine. I trust him, but I really wonder if the car could ride a tad smoother. I have a '62 Triumph TR4 that rides smoother than this Porsche.
Does anyone in the Pittsburgh area have a 3.2 that they could give me a ride (with a stock suspension) to give me something to compare to?
thanks, willie

Thanks Mike. I'll hit you up and we can rendezvous sometime soon.
As an update, I now have about 300 miles on the car and things are driving much more smoothly. Here's the WHOLE story.
The PO was an elderly gentleman whom fell ill a few years back. He owned the car for 7 years and put about 1700 miles on it during that time. I think the shocks were just stiff from very little use. I actually had the car up on the rack and was told by the mechanic that the rears were Bilstein HD's replacements and the fronts were OEM/original stock.
I still would not mind getting a ride in a dialed-in car such as yours just for comparison's sake. -w
