I have a 87. Made a little lighter. Friend and I did some motivated driving yesterday on windy back roads. He has a 993. Of course it is faster, but I could keep up with him pretty good. Made my day.

Thanks for all the love! The car was bought from Intersport in Mclean, VA. Picture from the listing attached. I'm picking the car up on Thursday and will be driving halfway across the country to OK this weekend. Excited doesn't begin to describe it! There will be many pictures taken this weekend so stay tuned. Oh and Go Hokies!

Enjoy the drive and check your speedometer from time to time. Speed seems to creep ever upwards on these remarkable cars!

Good luck with new car. Hope to join the air cooled club one of these days.
Agree with V-1 but it still won't help you with the damn photo camera traps- I think I got nailed by one this am.

Don't those photo traps still operate with radar, and therefore don't you have warning? I'm pretty sure that's the case with the ones they have set up in DC, where I once got nailed in my Saab, when I didn't have the radar detector with me, but when I was in the same place later with it in the car it was going off like gangbusters (and I was driving the limit because I knew what was there anyway).

Unfortunately the ones we have here don't use radar. I think they are activated by pressure sensors in the road. I was only going 11 mph over limit!
