In your opinion, can you make a list of the most desired to least desired colors in the used 911 marketplace?

I know black, red, and silver are very common.
White seems next...
I have seen deep blue, gold/champagne, garnet maroon, etc.

Personally, for me:

1. Deep blue
2. Maroon
3. Silver
4. White
5. Black
6. Yellow or Green (too custom)
7. Red (I will not drive a red "midlife crisis" car)

But, what is the general marketplace preference (not yours) for 3.2 Carrera's?
(Not the general auto market)

From what I've read, it appears that the popularity of leasing in N. America has a lot to do with which colors are more common than others. Dealers love leasing because the turn-ins supply them with a steady inventory of recent model, good condition vehicles to sell a second time around, and gets customers back into the store every 2-3 years to lease another one. Since neutral colors like black, white, silver and grey are easier to sell on the used market (because some buyers are turned off by oddball colors), those are the colors that most dealers order for their inventory, and most customers don't want to wait for a special order. As a result, most cars on the road are one of those 4 colors that dealers have on their lot.

Huh? 25 years in you get the best car you can within your budget. Maybe you hold out for what you want in coupe/cab/targa. Maybe.

And I absolutely, positively believe you'd go for a concours, fully documented, one owner '88 with 35K miles for, say, $22K...........in red.
