Generally, SC/Carerra's go for $15k to $30k on Ebay.
I'd like to do a post-mortem on various auctions and see what you experts will attribute to why the price ended where it did.
Why was one car so low, and another one so high?
It will help to see how you seasoned veterans determine value.

I'll start with 3 examples.

1986 SC. Top bid of only $17,600. Only 100k miles. Why such a low bid?

B/c it's sold by a dealer/flipper without real ownership documentation?
This is a big turnoff for me, and I would hesitate to buy a flipper car.
I think I am not the only one.
Private party vs. a dealer/flipper. I would only get from a flipper if it were a screaming deal, b/c I need the story of why the person is selling. And the fact that the flipper got it cheap in the first place is a red flag. The exception to this is the high end dealers who might buy private party for $25k, but then flip it for $40k+ based on their PPI reputation.



1978 SC. $13,800. Great value for someone?
Cons: Over 200k miles. And 1970s era SC's are priced lower.
