Too cool? As in temp.
Question.
91 ambient today running about 3k rpm/70 ish for an hour to Surprise, Az.
The temp gauge up to but not touching the lower tic (194). With the Carrera cooler/block off unit this 930-10 runs cool....even in the hundreds.
Gauge is good so is sender.
Wondering about our winter if it runs this cool in the summer. Might have to restrict / cover a portion of the radiator as I'd rather see the oil at 200/210.
What do ya'll think?

The thermostat for the front cooler opens at about 195F, so your car is working perfectly. Winter will be fine, the car will gain temp, but if it doesn't get hot enough for the cooler to work that's OK. Try to limit short trips of fifteen minutes or less and you'll be OK.

Pete,
Thanks.....I make a point of bringing it up to temp when I drive it.
Short trips are not a problem as I enjoy the car so much it's my daily....close to 6k miles since I did the swap.

Ice,
In our part of Az winter is a term used to describe not summer.....nothing to do with real 'cold' altho we had about 3 real freezes last year .
BTW, as a kid in NW Indiana, I was a hockey nut too, we'd be on the ice all day (outside) at 'the lagoon'. Think I still have a set of Tackleberry's somewhere.
