Default Online Batteries

Has anyone ordered their battery online? Specifically Optima Red Tops. Can you share your experience? The prices are up to $50 less online...big difference.

yes, just bought a red top from Amazon, best price I could find. I have Amazon Prime, so free shipping too!
Cheers,
Jess

This is one of those items for me, where I'll buy locally in case there's a problem.

I bought an Optima online from a reputable speed shop (during a sale) several years ago for my Carrera and have had absolutley no issues with it. I think you can find good deals out there, just make sure you are purchasing from a shop with a good reputation in case there are any issues.

Not for my car, but two Yellow Tops for my trailer - good deals.

I wanted to close the loop on what I have found. The online retailer I was looking at is through Amazon.

I guess, it is kind of crap shoot as customers who had issues with their Optima batteries could not return them as they're a Hazardous Material. If no issues then it is a good deal...if you have a problem, then you can't return them nor go to Optima for a replacement as Amazon is not an Authorized Dealer.

That was my thinking on doing it local.
