How come the 1989-1994 Porsche 964's are almost NEVER mentioned?
They do look substantially different once you start to train your eye to the difference in model years.

The front air dams even on the SC manufacturing year range from 79 to 83 are different, the rears are close with the big black bumpers even until the 88 Carrera. The later Carrera 2 with the twin plug 3.6 engines are substantially different from SCs. Heavier, more bulky front and back overhanging bumpers, they look heavy. The later Carreras have not caught onto the rebuild or restore phenomenon as much as the SC is now.

I do notice that the 964 headlights are not as upright (like the SC/3.2)

?? It's (basically) the same fender. 993 is different.

and its fair to say all cutches will explode at some point .. its a wear item , dont let it hold you back ..
