Default brake pedal sticking

my brake pedal on my 76 carrera 3.0 sticks a little bit when applying on bakes.
when it happens the brakes stays on and while driving i just put my foot behind the pedal and pul it up.
it seems that it happens when its very hot outside(90 degree).
also my tach will not register when its 90 degree plus temperature until i am going for around 10 minutes.
let me know what you guys think is wrong.

This is usually caused by brake fluid leakage onto the pedal assembly. The fluid attacks the o.e. plastic pedal bushings and causes them to swell up, becoming tight on the brake pedal shaft.

Call No. Hollywood Speedometer on this issue.

Check your brake fluid level!

Check your brake hoses. Also check for possible caliper rebuild time.

also make sure your pedal cluster is in good shape. i replaced all my plastic ones with the bronze ones about 8 years ago and no problems.

if you have a fluid leak it will leak on to these bushings and cause them to swell... Having said that would be a great M/C failure warning system

...and that is the main reason that I DO NOT recommend metal pedal bushings!
