Gurgling sound in engine after shut off normal?
Today I let my 1989 911 carrera idle for a while and the temp got to about half way. After shut off, immediately I heard what sounded like oil boiling in the engine on same side that my car leaks a little oil from. It leaks about a drop or so every few days. Is this normal?????

Don't worry too much about it ... the noises kind of freaked me out as well when i first got my car and i was stopped at traffic lights.As for the oil leak,our cars like to mark their territory
Do a search on Pelican for "triangle of death" it will give you a good idea as to where most of the leaks generate from ...

I think what you are hearing is probably just a dribble of oil as it drains down inside. With no water jacket on these engines, you hear every little noise they make.
