His stuff is just so amazing. I liken his work to swiss watches, each piece is a work of art. I wouldn't mind doing a tour of his facilities, like the Shelby museum in Vegas.

Cool car. It appears to be well done, but some veteran 911 guys might question the JE piston choice. Twin plugs would have been on the list from the very start for most builders. I do think it's a stretch (by far) to compare it favorably against a Singer; it is a well done '72 with a bunch of bolt-ons, not a revolutionary new concept.
I really dig MW and everything he does with Porsches. No criticism of his car, but the overexcited writing in the blog...

I don't care what the hell that guy does with his cars, I'll do whatever I want with mine. If I were him, I'd pull the Snoopy float in the Macy's parade with that thing.

I'd give a couple of my kids to have just one of his cars.
The silver/blue is just unreal:

art's sake and all.
I don't know who the hell Art is to tell the truth. I have spoken with
the Mag Man a few times usually when I have a car that meets his
fancy more often than not out of his price range as he puts it.
He's also invited me to tour the digs when spending time in LA with
relatives even the possibility of storing a car at his place but just
haven't gotten around to the specifics.
I will say this anyone that manages to get as scruffy a mug into the pages of Road and Track based solely on your automotive
creativity is alright in my book ...more power to him maybe just tone
It down on how much of an outlaw existence you lead...Bert

I highly doubt good old Ferdinand visualized each car as perfection, to be idolized and preserved in it's original condition for perpetuity. Rather, he was about creating a great sports car that worked and won, performance beating beauty every time.
He/they were creating great cars from week to week, race to race, fitting this to that, modifying here, deleting there. It is only as of 'late' that we as consumers have begun to appreciate what was, but we tend to overdo it.
Certainly there are classic Porsches that are our heritage, that define our brand, that we would be wrong to modify or change, that we must honor as our history. But the more 'modern' mass produced cars are perfect for perfecting; to create into your own image of what's right, or better, in your mind.
Rock on guys, doing what you do. It's your car, your taste, your money. Life is too short to preserve just to preserve.
