Spring is here and I've noticed that recently a few birds have been flying into the sidepanels of my car. I'm assuming they see their reflection...
Has anyone had this happen? any sugestions on getting them to stop?
"Birds may also attack their own reflection in glass thinking it is another bird. Species such as the Laughing Kookaburra, Little Raven, Grey Butcherbird and the Australian Magpie-lark have been seen to do this. This problem is particularly prevalent during the breeding season when birds can become competitive, but can occur at any time. "
Now my all of my side panels are scuffed with tiny scratches... I'd kill the birds with a bb gun if I wasn't such an animal lover.
I have found that they are attracted by the side view mirrors. I have to cover the mirrors with plastic bags on the one car I have outside. I started about a week ago and have to do it for about a month.
