17" Wheel Fitment 87 911/offsets/930 brakes
I have an 87 Carrera. It is my understanding that the offsets for a 17 inch wheel are the following
Front - 8", 23.3 mm
Rear - 9", 15 mm.
I just spoke to a Fikse rep. He said their specs show the following offsets
Front 31 mm
Rear 18 mm
Who is correct?
In addition, I upgraded to 930 brakes. Does that make any difference.
Thanks
John

the 23 for fronts and 15 mm are what will fit 16" fuchs. The 31 mm offset will give you a little more clearance in the front - you may not have to roll the lips - Most with 8" x 16 fuchs have to roll the lips in the front.
BTW the 23.3 is the offset for the 944 turbo 8" x 16 wheel that you can put on the front of a 911.

The offsets for 15" or 16" Fuchs is as follows
</font>
</font>
Wider wheels of course would warrent different o/s
I bought Kinesis because their o/s were better(IMO) for SC/Carrera use +25mm 8" front and +19mm 9.5" rear
The higher the +o/s # the further inboard the wheel will be.

- <font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">+10.6 for 911 8s (rear 911 use)</font></li>
- <font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">+15mm for 930 9s (rear 911 use)</font></li>
</font>
- <font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">8" Fikse for 911 front use is either +31.3 or +18.6 mm o/s +31.6 is the best fit often w/ a 5-7mm spacer</font></li>
