I hate cyclists when I am out on a run. Nothing against them at all they just make me nervous. I like to give them a wide berth but sometimes you just can't. I alwys feel one is going to hit a pot hole just as I am passing, and that quite honestly would ruin my day.
I would have no problems staying off roads where I know bicyclists are, I by no way think the road is all mine. I just hate cresting a hill on a spirited drive and they are everywhere like freakin cockroaches

We get a lot of cyclists in our part of the world. For the most part, they play by the rules, but every so often you come across a group that rides 2 and sometimes 3 abreast-well outside of the bike lane and into the car lane, which impedes traffic. These are the same folks who say something when you have to accelerate past them, into the opposing lane to get around them.

No question there are bikers who ruin it for everyone, but some of the stuff motorists do to cyclist is reprehensible.

We were riding along one day going perhaps 22-24, a car coming from the other direction was going the speed limit of 50. The driver throws a bottle out his window and hit the guy directly in front of me in the head.....thats a 72-74 MPH impact. Fortunately the guy survived, but forever harmed. Trust me, this is a tame story.

The bottom line is this...I can't think of a single thing that a cyclist does to a car diver that is 'life threatening'...on the other hand, there are countless things the motorist do to cyclist that are 'life threatening. End of rant.

Thanks again to OPO for sharing the PICS of a wonderful day and beautiful cars.

Yep, I've been physically assaulted several times for doing nothing more than riding my bicycle on the road. On a more positive note, I can attest to the fact that a 944 with the rear seats folded is a great way to carry a bike! A rooftop rack works pretty nicely, too. Some folks at the company that manufactured the rack took a picture of my car with the bikes on top because they thought it looked pretty cool. Doesn't work with my 911 Cab, though!

Hitting sa rider isn't right, although sometimes I would love to have Clint Eastwood's Orangutan and say "right turn Clyde"!
