Default What was the hardest part to find?

Hiya,
Folks in all your 911 repair and restoration journeys what was the hardest part to source (find)?...... for me its has been oil lines for my swb and lobro joints

just wondering

Pistons for my 73.5 911T when I did the motor 15+ years ago.

theres hard to find, and hard to find at a good price, for me the shifter **** believe it or not

'72 front oil cooler lines were always a pain, and that was ~20 years ago. Short bellhousing 930 boxes. Finding 930 trailing arms are near-zero proposition now. RS bumper ends and side deco. OE ducktails, especially from an RS that has the license plate lights in the lid.

oh yes 1967s side rubber deco and the rear bumper decos and the window winders and dash trim

yep. OEM fan housing.

The other '78 through '89 stuff is easy by comparison.

Took me close to a year to find a carrera tail on a deck lid, especially in acceptable condition.

for me I can find the Washingtons quit easily
but the Grants are harder to come by

hold on let me print out ivans post ....i will need more printer paper
