!8" will look like hell.....
Define reasonable price. You can go to Pacific Western Performance or Zuffenhaus for light Fikse/"Fuchs" 17's, but they will be well north of $3K.

I think the "G" series was the middie '74 impact bumper, no? As Ed said, Zuffenhaus, Speedline/ Ruf, Fiske come to mind offhand but are not compatible with modest price expectations.

Thought H was carrera - I can tell you that about the maximum you can go (from personal experience) on a 1984-1989 3.2 Carrera is 17 x 8 and 17 x 9 offset (ET) of 28-30 on the front. Rear around 15-17 - you can run a 235 front wheel and 275 on the rears. You have to roll all the fenders and you have to trim the spring plate bolts and make sure all the oil lines are tucked away.
a 225/255 is a much easier fit.

Porsche noted "program" letters along the line. The G program was 8/85-7/86 according to my reference book that I just looked at.
The OP does cite 3.2 Carrera.

Well, this is weird. I think I need to dig up Ludvigsen or Frere. Wikipedia sites overlapping G and H designations.

Hi folks, with series G i meant 3.2 carrera..
I now have RUF wheels and they are heavy as hell, what im looking for is light weight wheels for track days only..
In europe its hard to find for example. 17" BBS LeMans

I have Kinessis K5 8 & 9.5 x17, these are no longer available. If I was buying today I'd go w/ either 8 & 9 x15 for the gearing advantage or 8 & 9.5 x18 for the tire availability, but 8 & 9.5 x17 has some interesting possibilities too.
don't make the mistake of thinking that 18s have to be taller than 17s. It really depends on the tire you want to use. Here's an example 235/35 x17 R6 is 24.7" tall but it's the only 275/35 x17 tire, the rest are 275/40 x17 which are all ~25.7" tall. R6 in 285/30 x18 are 24.9" tall
additionally look for a good front match, I've used 235/45 and 275/40 on the 17s but but the gearing hit was unfavorable so have gone to 225/45 & 255/40
anyway whether 17 or 18 front 8 needs ET25-30 (target 30 for more room at the lips), rear 9 wants ET10 to 15(target 15 for more room at the lip) 9.5 ET19 (target 19 there is no wiggle room here)
I agree that Jeff is a great source of wheels,
Fikse and Forgeline should be at the head of the list of wheels to look at
