RIP. I still have one of his old books with his signature and dedication when I attended his 911 maintenance class in the early 90s.

Yeah I posted this real quick yesterday as i was on my Tab but it did come as quite a shock ..
Although newer Porsche owners may have no idea who this gentleman was, he was very well known in enthusiast circles and allmost god like status for those of us who were really into the technical aspects of the air cooled cars.. I doubt if any of us here do not have a piece of literature on our shelves authored or at least contributed to by Bruce Anderson.
He will long be remembered by me as the first name I learned when delving into 911 world and even got a few emails from him directly and just thought he was " another Porsche guy" not realizing i had access to such a wealth of knowledge.
God Speed Bruce.

I bought the first edition of his 911 Performance Handbook, and devoured every page, before I could even try for a driver's license. His book, the Frere book, and the Porsche Illustrated Buyer's Guide had a heavy influence on my love of Porsches.
RIP, good man.

great book, great guy. Chatted with him at several Porsche events in the '90s and '00s... He was both knowledgable and passionate about Porsches... Huge loss for the Porsche community. RIP
