Default Sealant vs Wheel Wax

I was wondering if anyone has done a comparison of using a sealant like Meguiar's Sealant vs a dedicated wheel wax?
Thanks

I've used both and unscientifically, I can't tell a lick of difference. Your wheels are exposed to a lot of heat, brake dust, and road grime and any form of wax/sealant isn't going to last very long on there.

I had the wheels off the car yesterday as a result of F'ing up and cleaning them with the Griot's wheel cleaner - that stuff SUCKS! (on Fuchs)

it like bleached out the clack centers and left them all streaky and spotty

cant believe I grabbed that crap!

took me 2 hours to fix my cleaning but what I used was some silicone lubricant followed by the wax - the results were beautiful, not glossy at all yet nice and black

I suggest trying the Concours forum. You might find some tips there.

I've used many many types of waxes, sealants etc. on my wheels, and none ever stood out greatly. I recommend Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, for it's ease of application and removal. So many options, but this is a good one in my book.

Rejex Wax for wheels. The Armor All Wheel Protectant is very-very good, too.
