Default Paint code number

The number L998 is on the tag under the hood of a 1986 911. This is with the options numbers.

I cannot find the code. Any clues for me?

Regards,
Mike

if you look on the paint sticker on the inside of the drivers side fender, peel back the felt liner you'll find the black color sticker with the name on it...it should be Maritime lue

I am doing some home work. And, that is what I am starting to think, "paint to sample". The sticker on the side read Beige/Grau (gray)

That is a color out of the early seventies. Could you order the old colors?

Here is the example. Under the lights it looks like Pastel Beige, an '86 color.
By the way, this is an '86

I just thought it was unusual.
