Default Battery hold down

Can anybody tell me what type of bolt they use to hold down their battery in a stock config?

Was wondering what these cars were born with?

Thanks.

And there should be a really long allen wrench in your tool kit whiich is used to remove/install the bolt.

You meant socket head bolt/screw.

I currently have a hex head bolt and it does not work correctly but is better than nothing.

My manuals say the following:

84-86 Carrera - 8 mm x 20 mm long
87-89 Carrera - 8 mm x 25 mm long

An 8 mm x 25 mm long with a 13 mm head is all i've ever used and never had a problem.
