Default WTB '84 - '86 Porsche 911 Coupe

Hey fellers,

could you keep your eyes peeled for an '84 thru '86 911 coupe.
No Black or Guards Red.

No blue smoke cold start ups
Syncros must be sound
No hot rodded cars, I prefer stock
I have been in and around P cars for a long time so I can smell a rat when one appears.

Mr. Dealer,
I will not pay $28K for one just because you think the Germans will.

Best Regards,
Mike

Thank you Mr. B. I have been on some car journey. The last time I was here I had purchased a '70 Boss 302 (my third time). It's gone. Prior to that sell, I was contacted by a family that had a Sunbeam Tiger that had been sitting in a garage for twenty years, they had inherited it. A true Hollywood Ca. hills garage find with every nut an bolt original. It now resides in Australia.

Then on to old Lotus cars. A '72 Elan Plus 2 and a '73 Twin Cam Europa. The Europa weighs 1500 pounds and the Plus 2 at 1900.
I stlll have them. I have never driven a brand of car that handles like these. Like driving a feather that corners on a dime.

Now, this is where I am an idiot. I sold the two darn near perfect Porsche low mile coupes to fund the Boss. Funny thing is, I couldn't get anyone to look at the coupes for the longest time. Now that I am on the prowl, I am not finding many stock cars. What up with dat?

Mike

A little update on the search for my coupe, and a little bump.

Although I have only been looking for about a month.......I've had a lifetime of Twilight Zone screwy answers to my questions. "Shifty eyes and bad shoes" comes to mind.

I realize the cars I want are over twenty six years old. But come on!

My wife tells me not to be hater..............to late.

Patience is a virtue. It took me roughly 6 months to find the right car. A lot of dealers seem to ****** up clean examples and list them for astronomical prices now so moving quickly when you find the right car seems to be extremely important. Best of luck.

I agree, three years ago i could find about 3 dozen air-cooled 911's for under $20K within 100 miles, now it is one or two that pop up on the radar.
