How to remove tie rods from the struts?
I went to remove my tie rods from the struts this evening and applied more force than I thought was needed. I now believe I'll be purchasing new tie rods ends as I think I hammered on them one time too many. What am I missing? I supported the strut with my floor jack and banged on the tie rod ball joint threads. I think I knew better but that did not stop me. How do those tie rods come loose from the struts? Thanks.
